These are on plaques around my house, on coffee mugs, or on magnets on my fridge!!!
Mom on the outside. Babe on the inside.
In raising my children, I have lost my mind, but I have found my soul.

The Happy Couple: Mr Right and Mrs Always Right
Say what you feel!! Be who you are!! Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter!!
There are two important things we need to give our children. One is roots, the other is wings!!
Happiness is being married to your best friend.
If it it's not one thing, it's your brother.
A Mom is a friend who gets on your nerves more than most.
It's OKAY, you are with family.

When all else fails, call Dad!
Ask not what Mom can do for you, ask what you can do for Mom.

A Poem About Our Girlfriends
Someone will always be prettier.
Someone will always be skinnier.
Someone will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
Their husbands will fix more things around the house.
So let it go, and love yourself and your circumstances.
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
The most highly favored woman at your work may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know,
She’s got the car, the house, the clothes…
Might be lonely.
And the word says, “If I have not Love, I am nothing.”
So again, love yourself.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say,
“I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!
Winners make things happen.
Losers let things happen.
Be “Blessed” Ladies
And pass this on to encourage another woman.
To the world you might be one person,
But to one person, you might be the world.
Well, On November 2, 2007, I got my nose pierced.... after my family specifically told me not to. It was only $20 and I figured I could take it out.... It took forever to heal and got infected a couple times, but by February (after an ultimatum - the fam was ok with it, but not if it was going to be infected all the time) we were looking good. Then, on March 27, 2008 I got tattoo number two. I went in to get it done, and they told me it was too close to closing, could I come back tomorrow, and by the way, what do you want... I told the girl I wanted a heart, a rose, or an "M" which is the gaelic symbol for scorpio. When I came back the next day, she had drawn up a design incorporating all 3. I am very happy with it.

I got my first tattoo - a 1 1/2" wooden cross - on my left ankle on Labor Day 2007. I got my cartilage pierced on my left ear in July 2006
. What will I do next!?!?!??!?!?! Stay tuned!!! ;0)
I saw the following on a post slamming the formation of a new Hollywood consortium of producers, writers, and directors that aims to produce movies/short films that will affect the 2008 election. Good...now Sean Penn and his cronies will have something to do.
How to Be a Good Democrat
Virtually anyone can be a Democrat. Just simply quit thinking and
vote that way. But if you want to be a GOOD Democrat, there are some
prerequisites.
1. You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
3. You have to believe that guns, in the hands of law-abiding Americans, are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology, in the hands of Chinese communists.
4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.
5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth's climate, and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.
6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.
7. You have to be against capital punishment but support abortion on demand.
8. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.
9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists from Seattle do.
10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
11. You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.
12. You have to believe the NRA is bad, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.
15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.
16. You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really a lady.
17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.
18. You have to believe Republicans telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender belongs in the White House.
19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites and bestiality should be constitutionally protected and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic party funding by the
Chinese is somehow in the best interest of the United States.

Caught this on a web page side bar today....he might have had a chance if the cans had only been FULL.
I finally did what, you ask? I got a tattoo...... I have wanted one for like fifteen years. Last night I got a 1 1/2" tall wooden cross tattooed just above my left ankle.
My kids think I am crazy. I think Jason KNOWS I am crazy!! ;0)
Last year I got my left ear pierced up in the cartilage.... Had I know that it wouldn't hurt, I would have done that a long time ago!!!! I did already have five holes in my left ear, and four in the right, so not really that crazy to me......
I want to get a tiny diamond in my nose, but Jason & the kids won't let me do that!??!?!?!
Mid life crisis you say? I don't think so. I got married at 21, started having babies at 23, drove a minivan at 24, I am just finishing off my 20 something behavior!! ha ha...

The fire at Lake Tahoe is unfortunate, but preventable. If the USFS was allowed to do prescribed burns like they used to, the fire would undoubtedly be easier to control. The homeowners blame the environmentalists and vise versa. I heard it said that the people that built their homes around Lake Tahoe in such a forested area should have known that they were at high risk if a fire ever threatened the area. Essentially, the people who have developed and live in the Tahoe area are to blame. What about New Orleans? Couldn't the same be said about those folk? After all, it has been known for YEARS that New Orleans was very susceptable to flooding if a major hurricane ever struck the city. One could wag their finger at the residents and say "I told you so". But, I never heard anyone blame the people of New Orleans for their own demise. You know why? Demographics. Compare the populations of the two areas...it's not rocket science.
I read that Clint Eastwood (and other investors) wanted to build a golf course on a California's Monterey Peninsula but he was turned down. Something about killing off some orchids, trees, and frogs. I admit, it did sound like a lot of carnage for a golf course. However, read the last paragraph below.
Pebble Beach Golf Links opened in 1919 and is considered one of the gems in the sport. Its 18-hole, par 72 course runs along the rugged coastline. It hosted the US Open in 1972, 1982, 1992 and 2000. The Pebble Beach company owns three other 18-hole courses and one nine-hole. There are three other private golf courses within the 5,270-acre Del Monte forest on the Monterey peninsula, which is privately owned. Pebble Beach also manages the 17-Mile Drive, a snaking road that is open to drivers for a fee of $9 (£4.50).
If you own something, apparently you can't do anything you want to with it, especially when the environment is concerned.

Well, while I wanted a larger camper where we didn't have to fold down the table and couch every night, I thought we should wait until the little kids were bigger to prevent accidents, spills, etc. My husband is a neatnik, you see. My logic didn't matter to him, though. He was itching to get a new one because the old one was paid for..... One day, he stumbled upon a new dealership in town that sold the same brand as the old one - because we like it a lot. Then, he found one with a double bunkhouse and one slide out.... exactly what we wanted...... so what was a good wife to do? We signed the papers that day!!! (There was one condition - Jason has to sign a "No Caniption Guarantee" - when we get the first scratch/spill/stain/whatever, there are to be no caniptions, because I thought we should wait - I am going to print a certificate today!) We took delivery Friday, and we have been working diligently to fill it with our sheets, blankets, towels, dishes, paper products, toys, new portable grill, two new tv's, etc. The big kids slept in it Fri nite, and the whole fam slept in it last night. We will take it on a trial run next weekend before we take it on the road to Illinois Memorial Day Weekend. See attached pics of outside. Will post pics of inside later today.
I know dad would enjoy reading these. The first article (Instapundit) details that less gun control is better and the second debunks bad info put forth by ABC News. Confederate Yankee My older kids asked why they didn't put metal detectors at the doors of the buildings. I explained to they why that would not stop such a crime, since it is highly unlikely that he would have stopped when the alarm went off. "Why didn't the teachers stop the guy?" they asked. I responded, "How?" "Well," AJ said, "if one had a gun, they could have shot back." AHA! Can you say NRA?
